Sol Gallery is a true family venture, co-owned by the adventurous duo Alex Starre and Gerrit van Bruggen. With a knack for coaching and structure, Gerrit balances out Alex’s creative energy and big-picture vision. 

Together, with their four kids in tow, they’ve left behind the “familiar”, committed to riding the rollercoaster of life together and embraced the pura vida lifestyle in Costa Rica—a place where they can chase sunsets, pursue family dreams, and support local artists in a community that celebrates both adventure and simplicity.

Our goal at Sol Gallery is to become more than just a gallery but a household name for inspiring creativity and connection in the community. We want to grow with this province we call home, fostering inspiration, collaborations, and fundraisers that support local needs.
